On-Site Residential Staff Support

On-site residential staff help and assist the residents at our halfway house. Our staff is ready and trained to help and guide our residents. They help our residents handle their daily lives, settle conflicts, and create a structured routine, allowing them to develop a sense of responsibility, accountability, and freedom.

Peer Recovery Support Services

Our halfway house program relies heavily on group recovery support services. Peer-to-peer support groups, sober social events, and other helpful services help our people achieve long-term recovery. Our peer recovery support services create a sense of community and connection among our residents, allowing them to learn from one another's experiences and challenges.

Supportive Living Environment

Our halfway house for men, offers a supportive atmosphere for adult males who need to move to independent life. Living in a community with similar goals and obstacles can create a sense of belonging and personal growth. Our residents can live in a drug-free, safe setting, allowing them to focus on their healing and long-term goals.

Alcohol and Drug Monitoring

We provide alcohol and drug tracking to our residents in order to ensure their safety and accountability. Residents who break our policies face consequences as part of our monitoring program, which includes random drug and alcohol testing. This monitoring assists residents in staying accountable and focused on their recovery goals.

Professional Staff Oversight

A professional team watches and helps our residents in our halfway house program. Our staff has significant experience in drug abuse treatment and is dedicated to helping our residents in achieving long-term recovery. Our professional staff works with our residents to create unique treatment plans.


Our halfway house for men, offers affordable housing options for those in need of a supportive living environment. We understand the financial challenges that people in recovery face, and we work hard to make our program available to those who need it the most. Financial obstacles should never obstruct a good recovery.

Qualification Criteria for Residency in New Journey House

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about the Star House Foundation, along with their answers, to provide you with a better understanding of our program and services.

Desire to turn away from addiction: Each person must state their willingness to stay sober and clean as well as their desire to change their addictive lifestyle.

All intake forms, including the application and liability waivers, must be filled by each person.

Abstinence from all substances that alter the mind or mood: Each person is required to keep complete abstinence from all substances that alter the mind or mood. This includes any substance used to affect a person's mind or mood, including illicit drugs, booze, prescription medications (some medical exceptions may apply), and prescription drugs.

Each person must commit to keeping their sobriety for at least twelve (12) months.

Participation in therapy and classes: Each person is expected to attend all counseling and class sessions, as well as work and fundraising events.

Each person is needed to pay a one-time admission fee.

Twelve (12) Steps of Recovery programs: Each individual must be willing to learn how to stay clean and sober through the twelve (12) Steps of Recovery programs of Alcoholics Anonymous ("AA") or Narcotics Anonymous ("NA").

Employment or community service: Each individual must either have a job, be actively seeking employment (this will be verified), be attending an outpatient program, or be participating in community service or volunteer work during the day.

No MAT program: At this time, Foundations to Freedom does not take anyone on the MAT program. An individual must be completely clean and sober of all substances upon admission. We also currently do not admit a convicted sex offender or anyone with severe mental health and violent criminal background.

House fee: Each individual must pay the House fee. Please note that during the admissions process, Foundations are required to call local law enforcement to determine if there are any active warrants on the client.
